Doing What Russell Says

Today is day 2 of my commitment to publish something every day. I have been working on the One Funnel Away challenge with ClickFunnels. As part of that, we were all challenged to publish every day — it could be writing, video, or audio. Obviously, I chose writing.

I am having a difficult time focusing on the challenge because of my current business. I’m trying to move completely away from it but I do have some outstanding projects that need to be finished. If I ever questioned my decision to move into affiliate marketing and close the current business, I got my confirmation yesterday.

I have a decent size corporate apparel order in process. I had required a deposit but the client opted to send the full payment. If you read yesterday, you know that I’m already deep in debt from the businesses and cash flow has dwindled. The money the customer paid was used to purchase their apparel and pay the decorator for services on this job. While I didn’t commit to turnaround time, I don’t know if the sales rep made a promise. My previous decorator has permanently closed so I use a new vendor with a longer turnaround time. We also had to go through the artwork approvals because it is a new vendor. The customer is upset the order is taking so long and complained to the rep about paying upfront. The rep called and said the customer may cancel the order and ask for his money back. The order is already scheduled to ship next week and the customer was told the ship date. I spoke with the decorator and I can pay rush charges and move it ONE day — so I have committed to paying the extra charge. The job is shipping Monday (instead of Tuesday now). This is why I hate this business and want to start over.
